Kitchen Assistant

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our award-winning team at South Africa Lodge. South Africa Lodge is a 99-bedded service providing high quality care across 6 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.

What do you need?

• Previous experience working in a similar role within the UK
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, residents and their visitors
• A commitment to learn about residents as individuals and to create ideas to improve life for the residents
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

What hours will you work?

What will you be doing?

• Supporting the catering service to residents in the home
• Preparing and set up meals and drinks
• Cleaning crockery, cutlery, utensils, containers and small-scale equipment manually and through machine
• Cleaning floors, work surfaces, furnishings and related equipment manually and by use of machine
• Complying with regulations in respect of Health and Safety at work, COSHH, Environmental Health and Fire Procedures
