Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a passionate People Team Assistant to join our award-winning team at Kitnocks House. We provide care to 63 residents across four specialised units, supporting those with varying complex care. What hours will you work?
Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm
 
What will you be doing?
As the People Team Assistant, you will provide administrative and operational support across the full employee lifecycle. The role will ensure employee records, systems, and processes are accurate, timely, and compliant, enabling the organisation to deliver a professional and values-driven HR service.
• Maintain accurate employee data, records, and files in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes, ensuring new starters have a smooth introduction to the organisation.
• Administer routine HR documentation, such as contracts, probation reviews, references, and contractual change letters.
• Monitor absence, turnover, and retention data, producing monthly workforce reports to agreed deadlines and maintain and regularly update the HR database in line with any absence, contract changes or new starters/leavers
• Responsible for maintaining and updating employee records and providing first-line HR administrative support to managers and employees, escalating queries when appropriate.
• Contribute to HR projects and process improvements as directed
• Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to ensure continuity of service and mutual cover.
• Promote positive communication and uphold the organisation’s values in all interactions.
• Seek guidance from more experienced colleagues when faced with issues outside your area of responsibility or expertise.
• Promote and maintain good working relationships with colleagues by adhering to Cornerstone vision and values.
 
Skills and Experience
Essential
• At good standard of general education
• Previous experience in a HR administration of similar support role
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and HR systems
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to produce work to deadlines
• Basic understanding of personal health and safety responsibilities.
• Awareness of equality and diversity in the workplace and how it relates to this role.
• Good customer focused skills
• Able to work flexibly
Desirable
• Knowledge of HR processes within Health and social care
• Familiarity with employment law basics and HR Best practice
• Experience in producing workforce metrics and reports
 
Qualifications
• A good standard of general education (essential)
• Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent

About Us

Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.

Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.

We currently have 4 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Mytchett and Bristol.
