Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a Housekeeper to join our award-winning team at Marula Lodge. Marula Lodge provides high quality services to 42 residents across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.
What do you need?
- Minimum of 6 months experience working in a similar role within the UK (essential)
- A commitment to provide high standards of housekeeping
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
What hours will you work?
- Week 1 - 3 days - Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 08.00 to 18.00
- Week 2 - 4 days - Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday: 08.00 to 18.00
10-hour shifts with a total average of 35 hours worked per week, including every other weekend.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home
- You will vacuum, polish and mop floors and ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and residents’ bedrooms
- You will receive training to understand health and safety issues and the use of chemicals that we use and any equipment that you need to use
- Checking equipment is stocked, clean and ready for the next day
- Although you will not be delivering direct care to our residents, you will have a responsibility to ensure our residents are kept happy while cleaning
