Cornerstone Healthcare are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated, part-time, Learning and Development Lead to join our People & Culture team. This is a hands-on and rewarding role supporting the delivery of our organisational Learning and Development strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, you’ll lead the day-to-day operation of the L&D function, ensuring training is engaging, compliant, and aligned with our values. You’ll also line manage our L&D Facilitators and Coordinator, providing guidance, coaching, and support to create a high-quality learning experience for all colleagues.
You’ll work closely with the Head of L&D to:
- Design, review, and quality assure learning programmes (mandatory, statutory, and bespoke).
- Monitor and maintain training compliance across the organisation.
- Develop and manage our approach to apprenticeships, career pathways, and the Care Certificate.
- Liaise with external training providers, assessors, and awarding bodies to maintain quality and learner progress.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the L&D function.
- Occasionally deliver learning to provide cover and maintain a connection with frontline learning.
About You
You’ll have experience in Learning and Development or training, ideally within health or social care and a real passion for supporting others to grow. You’ll bring excellent communication and organisational skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine commitment to our values.
Essential:
- Previous experience in an L&D or training role
- Experience of leading or supporting a team
- Knowledge of statutory and mandatory training in health or social care
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and career pathways
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g. YourHippo)
