Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for a passionate Healthcare Assistant to join our award-winning team at Marula Lodge.
Marula Lodge provides high quality services to 42 residents across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are proud to be rated GOOD with CQC.
What do you need?
- 6 months experience within a similar setting (preferred)
- A kind, caring, and compassionate nature.
- A genuine desire to support others and make a difference.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Reliability and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and complete training (including obtaining a Care Certificate).
- Ability to follow instructions and care plans.
- Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A strong mindset to support adults with complex needs in a compassionate and professional manner.
What hours will you work?
Working for us gives you more time for you with a 7 out of 14 day working pattern.
- Week A - 3 days - Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 07.45 to 19.45
- Week B - 4 days - Monday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday: 07.45 to 19.45
Total average of 38.5 hours worked per week.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes and social activities
- Observe resident progress against planned goals and report changes in the residents’ condition or care needs

- Helping residents to remain as independent as possible
- Respecting residents right of choice, privacy and dignity at all times
- Communicate effectively with other staff and members of the team
